On Monday, Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), made the announcement that on May 9, at least three officers, including a lieutenant general, had been dismissed from service for failing to protect military installations.

The statement was made during the press conference that the military's spokesperson, DG ISPR, held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. During the press conference, he criticized the vandals who attacked the military on May 9 and the people who encouraged hatred toward the military.

In addition, the ISPR DG stated that 15 officers, including three major generals and seven brigadiers, had been disciplined.

He stated that three officers, including a Lieutenant General, had been laid off.

In addition, in connection with the investigation into the riots that occurred on May 9, a granddaughter and a son-in-law of a retired four-star general were taken into custody.

He also said that a retired three-star general's wife and a retired two-star general's wife and son-in-law are both going through an accountability process.

According to Maj Gen. Chaudhry, the families of martyrs as well as all ranks of the army are posing questions regarding the events of May 9 and the riots' desecration of martyrs' monuments in numerous parts of the country.

He continued, "The May 9 incidents have proved that these miscreants did what the enemy of Pakistan could not do."

The May 9 incidents are also "highly condemnable, a dark chapter in Pakistan's history, and a big conspiracy against the country," according to the ISPR DG.

ISPR DG Maj Gen Chaudhry stated that evidences related to the May 9 incidents have been collected as the violence investigation is underway. He spoke about the protests that erupted following the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan.

He stated that the Pakistan Army is regularly driving terrorists out of the country. He added, "The martryrs' families are hurt, and they are asking tough questions about when the people who were involved in the incidents on May 9 will be brought to justice."

"If the memorials of the martyrs are being desecrated in this way," "all the ranks within the army are asking why they should sacrifice their lives."

The ISPR DG stated, "The planning of the violent incidents was done several months ago," and expressed regret for the chaos on May 9. "This outrageous narrative was used to manipulate the people," he continued.

Additionally, Maj Gen Chaudhry stated that the operation against terrorism is proceeding without incident.

"Against Pakistani forces, poisonous propaganda is being disseminated. He added, "A false propaganda has been carried out for political purposes and lust for power," adding that the nation cannot be separated from the army and that the army's decision-making process is completely coordinated and transparent.

"At least 95 officers and jawans, or soldiers, perished. However, "until all terrorists are eliminated, the successful war against terrorism will continue," the chief military spokesperson stated.

He went on to say that the Pakistan Army will continue to make sacrifices for the sake of the people's welfare and the country's defense.

He went on to say that no matter what, the forces will not hesitate to give up anything for the country.

The ISPR chief also emphasized that the May 9 events will not be forgotten and that those involved will not be forgiven. Military courts convicts have the right to appeal. He promised that everyone involved would be punished in accordance with the law and the Constitution.

He continued, "In the army, the process of self-accountability is done without any discrimination."

The ISPR DG stated that the May 9 vandals' military trials are currently being heard by the Supreme Court.

"The military courts were not established until May 9, but they were already present and in operation. "After reviewing the evidence and in accordance with the law, the civil courts have transferred these cases to the military courts," he stated.

Additionally, Maj Gen. Chaudhry stated that the suspects have the legal right to appeal. They can also file an appeal with the Supreme Court. He went on to say that the Army Act has been a part of the law and the Constitution for decades.

The ISPR DG stated that "nothing could be more shameful than blaming the May 9 tragedy on the army and agencies." "Terrorists hide behind rights violations narrative."

He informed members of the media that on May 9, an attack on 200 military installations across the country took place in a matter of hours.

"Did the army conspire against itself, or had its agents already been deployed? Or did we destroy the memorials to our fallen heroes? He inquired. He also inquired about the person who was propagating arson at the time and running the unknown accounts.

He added, "The terrorist organizations typically hide behind a [fake] narrative of human rights violations against Pakistan."

According to the ISPR DG, fake videos and audios were distributed as part of the propaganda, and social media was used against the army.

He lamented, "They make them [NGOs] say that the Pakistan Army is committing atrocities in Pakistan, and the foreign organizations are asked to stop giving Pakistan economic support."

"Countering propaganda is essential" The ISPR DG advised against sensationalist reporting and news creation, stating that responsible journalism is essential for the nation's ability to combat propaganda.

Maj Gen. Chaudhry suggested encouraging constructive debate and criticism while urging the cessation of propaganda on social media.

He stated that the intention behind the events on May 9 was to provoke the army into immediate action.

The ISPR chief continued, "The planners wanted the army to react strongly and create chaos in the country."

However, he asserted that the military's mature response on May 9 prevented the conspiracy.

He said that the army officers who were careless during the riots on May 9 would be punished according to the law.

"Defense budget is at its lowest level" He also emphasized how important it is to control internal chaos because it could open the door for an external attack.

Maj Gen Chaudhry said, when asked about the country's economic situation, that the defense budget is at its lowest point ever, close to 12.5 percent this year, compared to 16% of GDP the previous year.

He added that if the economy grows, the defense budget will grow.
